As of July 2020, we shall have a new musician joining us at any larger venues.
Stewart Goldring has been performing most of his life, often with his twin brother, and is an excellent guitarist (classical/prog rock/pop) and had some success in the early 70s with their band "Gnidrolog". Stewart also spent many years as a session guitarist of the highest calibre, across the world, for high profile bands.
We are very pleased to have Stewart on board!
Andy Ferguson has been a musician/vocalist/songwriter for over forty years. At the age of six he began singing in Canterbury Cathedral choir and by the time he'd reached his teens had learnt to play bass guitar, lead guitar, keyboard, harmonica...and even the bugle!
He met his band mate, Dave Offredi, at the age of eleven whilst watching the Rock-a-beats performing a live, open-air gig on the slopes of Tankerton, during the Whitstable Regatta. They were so inspired by the lead guitarist, Pip Hadler, that they both ended up becoming musicians themselves in the years that followed!
They have performed together in various bands over the years, touring all around the UK and abroad. In their younger years they even won Opportunity Knocks twice! However, their passion has always been 60s music so they decided to create a band that specialises solely in hits from the 60s - and The Swinging 60s band was born many moons ago!
Andy composes and produces all of their drum tracks to the highest standard and only uses the best and most trustworthy equipment for their gigs. His motto is: "Always give 100% of yourself to the crowd" and anyone that has seen the band perform will know they live up to that and have earned a great reputation as being one of the best 60s bands in Kent!
Every performance is full of passion and enthusiasm. They are absolutely mad about 60s music and Andy is an avid collector of 60s memorabilia!
Leah is the latest addition to the Swinging 60s band. She sings, dances, plays percussion and puts all the exuberance that you would expect to see and hear from sounds of the 60s. With her fab go-go boots, colourful wigs and 60s attire, she brings the fun factor to the group!
Talking to the band members you will see they are totally committed to their performances - music is their life. It's true dedication, which is evident when you see them perform.
